EHOSTELA – A third season for this acclaimed drama

Expect more thrilling entertainment from the show that doesn’t pull any punches!

Ehostela takes place in the dangerous and unpredictable underworld of paid assassins where loyalty and respect are non-negotiable requirements to survive within a brotherhood which is bound by blood.

The new season follows KaMabizela, a widow on a warpath to avenge her murdered husband who was killed by a ruthless gangster. A disagreement led to a fight for power which cost her husband his life and now KaMabizela aims to set things right.

The brand new cast is led by Siyabonga Thwala (Isibaya, Generations and many more), who has won three SAFTAs throughout his stellar career. He is joined by Tony Kgoroge (Hotel Rwanda, Invictus, Blood Diamond), Xoli Zondi (Greed & Desire, Zabalaza), Nkanyiso Mchunu (Imbewu) and Mduduzi Nombela (Imbewu, Uzalo).

The cast of season 1 was spearheaded by Wiseman Mncube (Ring of Lies, Ingozi, Uzalo), who won a SAFTA for Best Actor Award in TV Drama category for his role in the show. He featured alongside a myriad of experienced actors and newcomers, including Lungelo Mpangase (Mzali Wam), Mabutho Sithole (Hotel Rwanda), Sthandwa Nzuza (Uzalo, Ifalakhe) and Lindiwe Ndlovu (Lockdown, Gomora, Winnie Mandela and many more) who won a SAFTA for Best Actress in a feature film for her role in Pauline.

Season 2 also featured an impressive cast, including Thobani Nzuza (Uzalo, DiepCity), Dumisani Dlamini (Sarafina), Andy Mnguni (The Republic) and Ernest Msibi (Gomora).

The exciting drama was brought to life by Stained Glass TV, known for producing shows like record-breaking The WifeSAFTA-winner Ifalakhe as well as UzaloLingashoni, and Durban Gen and is now produced by Duma Ndlovu (creator of Imbewu and Uzalo) and Mandla KaNozulu (Umkhokha).

Season 2’s explosive ending led to cries for a third season and viewers’ wishes were soon granted!
