The Price and Potgieter families return for a second season of the thrilling and highly-popular telenovela.

The first season of Legacy was received with high praise and popularity. That was enforced when the show won a remarkable six South African Film and Television Awards (SAFTA) including Best Telenovela. Veteran actress Michelle Botes (Angelique Price on Legacy) also won her first SAFTA as the Best Supporting Actress – Telenovela.

“The manner in which viewers embraced Legacy as M-Net’s first telenovela made this whole experience wonderful, and we are indebted to our viewers who have gone on this rollercoaster ride with us,” Tshedza Pictures executive producers, Phathu Makwarela and Gwydion Beynon share. “As we move towards season 2, we can promise viewers a rebirth of the series and a big expansion of the story universe which will allow us to tell more compelling and addictive drama.”

The second season promises to maintain the level of excellence that viewers have come to expect with dramatic storylines unfolding.

“Legacy season 1 was an impressive, first-of-its-kind telenovela that won a remarkable six SAFTAS, including Best Telenovela. The second season will be nothing short of exceptional with more compelling drama. Viewers can look forward to a new family being introduced, enemies becoming allies and secrets from the past resurfaced.” – Jan du Plessis
