About the Short Film
Mieke Kruger dreams of being a professional dancer. When a musician from her neck of the woods, Wimpie Steyn – the coolest guy in Daspoort, Pretoria West – has auditions for a new back-up dancer, Mieke asks her older brother, André, to take her to the audition. Mieke has no training and looks nothing like the skinny other candidates, but Mieke gives Wimpie Steyn a performance he won’t easily forget.
