It is 1994 and after years of tense negotiations and the first democratic elections, the government of national unity is ready to report for duty. Marie has been the minister of mineral resources, Hendrik van der Merwe’s secretary for years. She needs to organise her boss’ first meeting with the new minister of defence, Mayihlome Khumalo. Marie is ready to embrace the ideals of a new South Africa. She is even willing to risk her job for a brighter future for South Africa, or rather, the Republic of South Africa.
